Old News - July 2003

Ool so I didn't feel like makin' a chart of all the crap I added... cause it's a waste since I barely added anything.

A Lot To Talk About Thur, 7/25/03 2:11 am

Haha. So my idea of updating this site every day obviously fell apart. It's been about 2 weeks since I've put in a "real" update... a descriptive one. I'm sorry. I was camping for a week and then I, as well as many frequent visitors, kinda neglected the site. Well, now I'm back to let you all know what's goin' on. I'll recall what I can remember...

On July 10th, we finished up our "LPedersen23" season (formerly known as SDelp07 until I got dumped). It was me (Tampa Bay) and Toronto in the Eastern Conference Finals, and It was Sean (San Jose) and Jack (Colorado) in the Western Conference Finals. I won my series 4-0, and Sean beat Jack 4-1. In the Stanley Cup Finals, Sean's San Jose Sharks stunned the 80-2-0-0 Tampa Bay Lightning (me) in a thrilling 5-game series. Each game was close and exciting, except for one I believe I got killed. In the final game, at the end, I was winning, then Sean tied it up late. Then with about 3 seconds left in the 3rd, Curtis Joseph (my goalie) slipped and fell on his ass, allowing a light nipper to go in. The San Jose Sharks were victorious.

I swallowed the loss cleanly, and on July 11th, My brother and I prepared the badminton field for My birthday bash the which would be held the next day.

Kevin's Birthday Bash 2003 was held on July 12th. It was an overall incredible event. The Fidyk Invitational Badminton Tournament went well as expected, and the Final Four was an unbelievable thing to watch. But in the end, Jack Garrity came out on top, winning this year's golden nugget. A special thanks to all who attended.

On July 14th, I hung out with Sara for a little while and caught lightning bugs with her at the playground. it didn't quite work out. She brought her dog "Max" there and he got loose! Luckily we caught him before he darted across Laurel Road.

Sean and I headed down to Cheriton, VA on July 15th to go to Cherrystone Camping and RV Resort. It was so awesome. We played mini golf, stared at blondes in bikinis, swam, rented pedal-powered go carts, and ate a buncha great food. It was an event we'll never forget.

We got home from camping on Sunday, July 20th. I think we went to the courts. Tuesday the 21st we went to the courts, then afterwards, went to Lena's water ice. It was my second time there that day. Wednesday the 22nd I went to Lena's 3 times. Yesterday I did absolutely nothing except watch Meet the Parents and start a NHL 2002 season. Today, however, was an awesome day.

I had Dan, Butler, and R Groves over for an NHL 2003 tournament. It was a great tournament until Dan decided he didn't want to participate any more. We also went outside and played some badminton, and went to Lena's water ice twice.

Right now I'm sittin' here waitin' for Sara and Basile to get back from the shore. I've also been thinkin' about getting a .com. It'd be an awesome thing to have, and it'd also motivate me to do better with my site. Hopefully once I get a job, I'll be able to pay the nearly $100/year bill. lol.

Anyway that's it for today. Maybe I'll write tommorow, I hope so, but I'm not promising anything. See ya'll later.

K. Fidyk is Fatigued from too many updates Tue, 7/8/03 12:33 pm

Yeah lately, I've gotten lazy... and that is obvious in my lack of recent updates. I guess before I talk about anything else, let me fill ya in on what's happened in the past week or whatever.

Thur, 7/3/03: Went over Sara's at about noon, and helped her paint a big backdrop thingy for a play. Later that night, we all went to the Sterling fireworks, where we saw a buncha people and ate hot dogs at Mickey's. After that, we swam at Matt Butler's 'til about 11 somethin', then went home.

Fri, 7/4/03: 4th of July '03. It was pretty good this year. We woke up at about 9am, and headed up to the parade. This year, Sean, Basile, and Dan were invited to be in it. Right after the parade, we helped Sara control one of those inflatable jumpy things for all the little kids. We ran in some races, and I got 1st place for 2 events. After all that stuff I walked Sara home then went home. At about 6, my family and I headed over to Deanna's. It was a pretty neat event. During the party, I took some time to write a new song, which I recorded the next day.

Sat, 7/5/03: The only really good part of the day was when I recorded my new solo song, "Sara's Lullabye". A boring day it was. All we did was go to the mall. I don't think anything happened afterwards.

Sun, 7/6/03: We headed to the shore for the day. We got there at like 12 somethin in the afternoon. By about 1, I was sleeping on my grandmom's bed. There wasn't anything to do, so that's what I did until 9pm. Yes, 8 hours. LOL. I woke up and immediatley went around the corner and got a cheese steak from Dolce Italia. It was awesome, but I wasn't hungry so I just ate 1 half. After that, I called a couple people then watched TV from about 11 'til 3am. Three's Company was what I watched the most.

Mon, 7/7/03: Came back from the shore at 10am. Played some Delta Force for a little while. Then, Dan came over and we ate sundaes. We went down to Sean's for a while and hung out. Then I found out Sara wanted me to swim with her at her aunts, so I went over. We swam for an hour or so, then I came home. I had left over pizza from when Dan, Matt, and Jack went to Pizza Hut. I came home for a while, then went back down. We decided to hang out at Matt L's. We went there and watched the Boogeymen DVD and watched Matt L play Battlefield 1942. At like 11, we walked Sara home and Sean and Dan slept over.

So yea, that was pretty much the past week. I'll update later tonight and tell you how today went. See ya.

Non-Exciting Day Wed, 7/2/03 2:21am

Today we were gonna try and film some more Bagman II, but no one cooperated.

After a bunch of shifting of people, Jack and I drove to Blockbuster and rented Goodfellas and Old School. We then headed to Dollar Express and Super G and got some snacks. We went home and watched Goodfellas, then it got too crowded at Sean's so we split up. Basile came over for a bit, and Everyone else fleed to Matt Butler's and played NHL Monopoly. We hung out there 4 a while, and I learned how to play Gin and Golf card games. I came home and talked with Sara on the phone for a while, then played some Delta Force 3 and 4. A kinda boring day, but I know tommorow will be good.

Sorry for the short post, but there's nuthin' more to say about today. See ya.

A Crackdown On Rules Tues, 7/1/03 12:18am

Whew. I can't believe it's July already. It's crazy. We're right smack in the middle of the year. So much crap has happened to me since December, that the first half of this year seems like it didn't even exist. Except for December, July is my favorite month. So hopefully, this'll be a good month.

The Garritys, earlier today, stated today that rules around the Garrity and Fidyk households will be changed. They were on their way out to their 20th Anniversary Dinner at the Tuscan Tavern (clap clap clap), when they told Sean about the rules. They didn't go into too much detail, but they made it clear that a few things will be changed.

Today, my dad made us bring Sean's drums back to his house, because he's workin' on the basement. When we were unloading, some colored man in a bright yellow shirt asked us if we'd like to buy some Pizza Hut package. Jack got it. We sat out back for a bit. We came in, and Matt L Dan and Jack went fishing. I went back home and headed to my game. We won 6-1, and I scored a goal. I came home and Cindy was getting her hair highlighted by my mom.

I went online and saw that everyone was at the courts. So, I got my dad to bring me. It was me, Sean, Matt L, Rob Groves, and Basile vs Jack, John W, Joe Groves, and Cutitta. I saw Anthony Bozelli playing on the other court! Dan had a tough night, and snapped his stick in half. After the game, Basile treated us to water ice at the WIF. We delivered some to Matt Butler. After that, I came home and showered. My dad says I gotta find a job. I hope I do soon.

That's all for tonight. See ya'll 2morrow.
